BRAND IDENTITY EXPLORATION

OVERVIEW Founded and based in Cincinnati, OH, since 1986, Seven Hills Coffee takes pride in its roots, based in community and quality. What sets them apart from other coffee roasters is their unique process of air roasting on Sivetz roasters, as well as their fair trade origins.

OBJECTIVE Initially, Seven Hills Coffee approached Mertz Design Studio for a logo redesign to be done by a co-op student, as their previous logo had been done by a student 20 years ago. To achieve their goals of brand recognizability, shelf uniqueness, and longevity, it became clear full package refresh would take Seven Hills from a well-known, local wholesaler to a unique and memorable brand.
